In the center of the painting is the English Gothic Castle-style Ford Dining Hall and reflection pool. For many Alumni, this magnificent and ornate Dining Hall holds many special memories. Life-long friendships were enriched over relaxing dinners. The hall was filled with laughter, excitement and hundreds of young voices echoing from the timbered vaulted ceilings. The picturesque Ford Building complex was donated by Henry Ford. Berry College affords us spectacular beauty at every turn. As an artist, I love the many ornate pinnacles, the towers, the colorful inlaid stones, cabins, chapels, and forests. The beauty of Berry is evidenced by the many life-long friendships, the memorable experiences, and foundational principles of work and character we grew to love. It is my motivation in a series of paintings I hope to complete.
